McRoof Gives Away Free Roof

McRoof, recently partnered with the OKC Dodgers Baseball Team to give away a FREE ROOF to a deserving individual or family.  Fans had until June 24th to submit nominations of 800 words or less via the OKC Dodgers promotions page on their website okcdodgers.com.  Owner Scott McCollum said “We are thrilled to be part of the Oklahoma City community.”  McCollum also thought that “this initiative would be an ideal way to give back to a deserving individual or family in the local area by doing what we do best: providing a new roof.”

To be nominated, individuals or families had to live within a 100-mile radius of Oklahoma City to be eligible to win a new roof up to $15,000 in value.  The new roof will be installed prior to Sept. 30, 2016.  The winning individual or family can use the win for a new construction, a remodel or residential replacement.

The OKC Dodgers and McRoof both reviewed the nominations and selected the winner together.  The winner, Melissa Mortimer, was announced on the field prior to the OKC Dodgers vs Colorado Springs on July 4th at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.  “We are proud to partner with McRoof.us in this unique promotion and encourage OKC Dodgers fans to nominate and share the stories of deserving local individuals in their lifes,” sad Michael Byrnes who is the OKC Dodgers President and General Manager.

Mortimer is from Choctaw, Oklahoma.  She was nominated by Jean Luce, who wrote in to nominate Mortimer.  Luce Described Mortimer as a strong woman who never gives up on her children.  Mortimer is a single mother with three children, all who suffer from spinal muscular atrophy.  This causes them to have to use walkers or wheelchairs to get around as walking is extremely difficult.  Mortimer herself struggles with rheumatoid arthritis.
